Where dreams come to life

We are Nicola and Chiara, two tireless gamers who, come rain or shine, have always been ready from the very first light of dawn, waiting for the fair’s doors to open so we can rush to the tables as if we were a lucky dice. However, from today, we’ll be the ones welcoming you from the other side of the table; in fact, we’re delighted and excited to officially introduce LOOMOON, our independent board game publishing house.

LOOMOON is the result of years spent collecting role-playing game manuals and board game boxes, which have filled every inch of our home, transforming the living room into a vast, ever-present playground: our workshop of ideas.

We’ve got plenty of projects on the go and, as we can never get enough of fun and playful experiences, we invite you to join us on this journey that will see us rolling dice, drawing cards, moving meeples and flipping tiles, as if there were no tomorrow.

Welcome to LOOMOON. Here, we wear non-slip socks and leave our coats at the entrance, because once you’re inside, you should just let yourself be swept away by the fun.

Our Astro Celeste

We have always been passionate about space, and have spent many evenings at the planetarium gazing up at the night sky, spellbound as we listened to the stories that ancient peoples passed down to one another to study and map the heavens. We believe that out there, deep in the darkness of this vast universe, lies our own story too, alongside all those we feel the need to tell and pass on from person to person.

As the symbol that represents us, we have chosen the moon – so close that it influences the tides and lights up our nights, yet so distant, mysterious and full of secrets – because for us it is a catalyst for dreams, legends and transformations, as well as the most fascinating celestial body in the entire universe, watching over us during our nights of play.

First we play, then we create

In a world obsessed with spreadsheets, where every individual becomes nothing more than a number trapped in a cell, we at LOOMOON have chosen to measure success by how much fun we have. In fact, we don’t want to convince anyone that our games are better than others; what matters to us is creating our next favourite game – the one we’ll never stop playing.

The Big Family

LOOMOON is a family, both literally and figuratively. Our first project began as a bit of fun during a traditional Ferragosto barbecue, and quickly became Chiara and Nicola’s dream: to bring their vision to the world of play.

When you attend a trade fair, you’ll be able to feel Chiara’s electric energy from metres away, drawing you magnetically into her chaotic whirlwind of ideas, enthusiasm and creativity. It will quickly become apparent, even to the most distracted passers-by, that she is the epicentre of excitement and discussion at the stand, making the LOOMOON trade fair experience an unforgettable and dynamic adventure.

When you meet and talk to Nicola, however, you’ll realise you’re in the presence of a ‘Forever DM’ who started telling stories back in primary school and who loves to weave adventures around his players, so that they feel as though they’re right inside the game world and able to take control of the situation, just like real heroes.
